This morning I had the incredible opportunity to discuss my new book Psych Yourself Rich with Matt Lauer on the Today Show. It was a fast four-minute conversation but I think we hit some key pointers that I hope you’ll want to explore further. Psych Yourself Rich made it to the Amazon best-seller list shortly after the Today segment.

farnoosh good job
You are very informative. I like the way you explain the importance of being realistic of your needs.
You are very educated, continue the great job you are doing for the public. I think it would be a good idea for kids and teens to learn to be responsible at an early age. It should be taught at school more often, so that when they become young adults they have self control of their life financialy.
Great insight Farnoosh, the fact that money is usually intertwined with emotion is something to deal with instead of deny. The best (most statistically sound) “happiness studies” support the notion that money can associate with happiness up to a point, as long as the pursuit of it and wise use of it is handled in the right ways. Spending on experiences instead of objects, making every day rewarding at some point, etc.
BTW you handled Matt’s flub very well, that was funny!
I just requested this from the library (it’s currently out). Wondering if Matt was being sarcastic…not cool. I really like the tips through Yahoo Finance – that’s what brought me here. Keep it up.
