A Good Father's Day Book

I caught an interview with author Michael C. Lewis (Liar’s Poker) and his wife Tabitha Soren (a former MTV host) on NPR yesterday morning. Michael has a new book out – perfectly timed for Father’s Day – called Homegame: An Accidental Guide to Fatherhood. The book was written while Lewis was acclimating (or as he’d probably put it – agonizing through) the early years of raising his three children. Parenting, Lewis said on the radio, is more difficult for guys now than it was a generation ago. Back then dads didn’t have as much parental responsibility. Lewis’s own dad once told him as he watched Lewis struggle to change a diaper, “What are you doing that for? I didn’t talk to you until you were 21!” From the radio interview and the numerous positive reviews online I think this will be a fun book for any dad or dad-to-be.
The book’s $14.08 on Amazon.com – almost $10 off the retail price.
