What’s $134 Billion?
It’s the gross domestic product of New Zealand, enough for three Beijing Olympics and more than 2.5 times the investment fraud committed by Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff. It’s also, according to a Bloomberg report, what two Japanese men allegedly attempted to take from the U.S. to Switzerland in the form of bonds. They were carrying $134 billion worth of bonds at the bottom of their luggage.
I feel like this story should be in the “Weird, But True” section of the NY Post.
