Stay Tuned: Bank of Mom and Dad Airs Wednesday

We’re just days away from the first reality show on TV that forces young women to come face to face with their financial hardships. For one week they’ll undergo money missions with the help of Mom and Dad and along the way I stop by with budgeting and saving tips (as well as some tough love).
Our first daughter, Christina, is a 30-something bartender from New York who spends most of her income on travel, yoga and gourmet foods. She has no health insurance, despite suffering from weak knees. Her car is also the source of a lot of financial misery (although she claims it’s her source of freedom). See if mom, dad and I can convince her there are smarter ways to spend and budget her money.
Bank of Mom and Dad begins airing this Wednesday at 10 p.m. on SOAPnet. I’ll be recapping my advice from each episode here and at Mainstreet.com.
